Since 1999, Kootenay Co-op Radio has been the heart of independent media in the Kootenays — offering nearly 50 original music shows and diverse spoken-word programs that reflect our community, not corporate playlists. From blues and metal to indie and French-language gems, our shows are curated by passionate local volunteers. With international and national programming like Democracy Now!, WINGS, and This Way Out, alongside local gems like Kootenay Morning, The Ecocentric, and What If, we amplify voices often left out of mainstream media.

As a non-profit co-op station, nearly a third of our funding comes from listeners like you. Annual membership contributions start at just $60, or you can donate monthly for only $5.50.
