Today’s show is all Kaslo, all the time!

There’s lots going on in our fair alpine village these days. Tonight it’s a screening of two videos showcasing the long-defunct Kaslo Players and their performances (over 30 years ago) of Agatha Christie‘s The Mousetrap, and a farcical melodrama titled The Face on the Barroom Floor. Followed by some live improv, courtesy of Kaslo’s improv troupe.

On Saturday (June 8), there are several events worth taking in.

The Kaslo Saturday Market launches for the summer season at the park next to the Kaslo Hotel. Open from 9 AM to 1 PM, look for all sorts of vendors — from fresh produce and croissants, to sausages and soap — and much, much more!

At 10 AM, celebrate Kaslo Pride 2024 with a celebration at Legacy Park. Then swing by the Angry Hen craft brewery to take in the Guns & Broes drag show (a family-friendly version Saturday afternoon, followed by an adult version in the evening).

Also Saturday, the Langham celebrates its 50th anniversary with a street festival, featuring live music, street performers,  a food truck, face painting, short films in the theatre, gallery exhibitions, crafts, treats, and more.

Ah, but there’s more to our hometown than culture — anyone who’s been here knows how spectacular our physical setting is. One of the most convenient intros to our wild backyard is the Kaslo River trail system. Host Randy Morse takes you on a tour of this outdoor gem!
