Hello Kootenay Co-op Radio members! We hope that you and your bubble-mates are navigating this altered reality well.
We will be holding our online Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, October 21st starting at 7 pm. Despite the shortcomings (such as the absence of tasty snacks and your smiling faces), this year’s approach will allow members from throughout the West Kootenay to participate.
Note that you will have to pre-register for this year’s AGM, and here’s why…
1. According to our by-laws (aka “Rules of the Association”) we need a minimum of 25 members in order to have a valid AGM. So, we need to make sure we have at least that many members join us.
2. Members will need to vote on a few items, including the presentation of our June 30th year-end financials and director elections*. The British Columbia Coop Association (BCCA) is providing support for online AGMs as a service to all of its member co-ops across the province, helping us to conduct an effective meeting and use a confidential voting process.
We look forward to “seeing” you there. We’ll send details on how to join the meeting closer to the date.
With continued thanks for your membership and your support for community-sponsored, volunteer-driven radio from the heart!

on behalf of the Kootenay Co-op Radio staff and Board of Directors*
PRE-REGISTER by sending an email at staff@kootenaycoopradio.com
* KCR has vacancies for three directors to stand for election to join our lively, interesting, fun-but-not-overworked team! Please get in touch if you have any interest or questions. FYI, we’re keen to increase board diversity and representation from all corners of the Koots; most future board meetings will be held online.
