I'll Be Back Before Midnight @ The Capitol Theatre
Black Productions is thrilled to be mounting a production of this horrifying, hilarious, and glorious play by Peter Colley at The Capitol Theatre Nelson on October 20 - 22, just in time to put you in the mood for Hallows' Eve.
Jan (Lindsay Clague) has recently had a nervous breakdown, and her husband Greg (Avi Phillips), an archeologist, has rented an old farmhouse in the country where she can recover. When George (Phil Sarsons), the hilarious farmer they rent the house from, tells stories about a terrible murder that once took place in the farmhouse and the ghost that reputedly stalks the night, Jan’s imagination gets fired up.
The situation gets even worse when Laura (Dorothy Dalba), Greg’s beautiful but manipulative sister arrives. Soon Jan finds herself tormented by strange sounds in the night, and visions of the vengeful ghost. Is she having another breakdown? Is someone trying to drive her mad? When she tries to defend herself from this apparition, events take an unexpected turn in a night of unimaginable suspense.
**Please note that this is a high intensity show that countains loud noises, flashing lights and other potentially scary elements. Not recommended for children under the age of 13.
Tickets are now on sale on the Capitol Theatre website: https://capitoltheatre.ca

Go By Bike and Win Prizes
Pump up your tires and ride! Go by Bike week is October 3rd to 16th. But, we're running this initiative all month long in Nelson and area.
The West Kootenay Cycling Coalition is offering free safety flags to all its members. Sign up to become a member (it's free this year) by visiting our webpage at https://westkootenaycycling.ca/.
Then ride your bike to collect merit badges such as "I rode my bike to work" or "I rode my bike to school" or "I rode my bike in the dark". Proudly display them all on your flags.
Cyclists can pick up their “bike flags” for free from Nelson’s Visitor Centre starting at noon on October 4th. (Parents are encouraged to pick up flags for their kids too). A list of locations to ride your bicycle and places to collect badges will be provided at the Visitor Centre and posted online throughout the month of October.
Once you have collected 8 badges you may enter to win prizes such as theatre tickets to Capitol Theatre shows or gift certificates to Kootenay Coop and more! Draw prize winners will be announced on October 31st.
