Step back in time with Nelson Guitar Festival guest artist Kat Hammer and explore the fascinating world of early plucked instruments in a unique and interactive workshop!
Kat will present a stunning collection of rare and beautiful instruments, including:
- 7-course Renaissance lute
- 13-course Baroque lute
- Italian Baroque guitar
- French Baroque guitar
- 14-course Baroque Theorbo (over 2 metres long!)
Each instrument has its own story, sound, and stunning craftsmanship. You’ll learn about their history and construction, hear them brought to life in live performance, and even have the chance to try them yourself!
